„So how did you end up in Germany?“

Therese de Liz

„So how did you end up in Germany?“ I usually smile and give the short version: ‘I took an airplane’.

I’ve lived, studied and worked in Germany for over 25 years now.  I achieved my Bachelor and Master degrees in clinical psychology, social psychology and organizational psychology. My goal to become a licensed psychotherapist entailed seven further years of clinical training, working in psychiatric and psychosomatic wards, training, supervision and administering many hours of psychotherapy. During that time I worked in the university hospital and as an academic lecturer. 2012 I passed my German psychotherapy state exam and am officially licensed to practice psychotherapy in Germany. In January 2014 I reached my long time goal to open my own private practice. In my practice in München-Schwabing, I treat patients suffering from depression, social phobia, panic attacks, general anxiety, psychosomatic illnesses, culture shock and adjustment issues. I also specialize in counseling women and couples on infertility issues and support them during treatment. As counselor, my goal is to support you in achieving a higher quality of life satisfaction and happiness.
